Is a used hybrid car worth it?
Generally yes, if the battery has been maintained. The Toyota Camry Hybrid is one of the best bets — Toyota hybrid batteries are durable and the platform is well proven. The hybrid battery on high-mileage examples (200,000+) will eventually need replacement, so factor that into negotiating on a high-mile hybrid. For normal mileage examples, the fuel savings usually make sense long-term.
