Why are you getting this?
Financial companies choose how they share your personal information. Federal law gives you the right to limit some but not all sharing, and it requires us to tell you how we collect, share, and protect your personal information. Read this notice carefully.
What we collect
The types of personal information we collect depend on the product or service you have with us. On a credit application it includes:
- Your name, address, telephone numbers and email address
- Your Social Security number and date of birth
- Your income, employment and how long you have held it
- Your housing payment and how long you have lived at your address
- Your account balances and banking information, when you give it to us
- Your credit history and credit scores, which we obtain from consumer reporting agencies
How we share it
All financial companies need to share customers' personal information to run their everyday business. Here is why we share yours, and whether you can limit that sharing:
| Reason we can share | Do we share? | Can you limit it? |
|---|---|---|
| For our everyday business purposes — to process your application, arrange financing, report to credit bureaus, respond to court orders and legal investigations | Yes | No |
| For our marketing purposes — to offer our products and services to you | Yes | No |
| For joint marketing with other financial companies | No | We do not share |
| For our affiliates' everyday business purposes — information about your transactions and experiences | No | We do not share |
| For our affiliates' everyday business purposes — information about your creditworthiness | No | We do not share |
| For our affiliates to market to you | No | We do not share |
| For nonaffiliates to market to you | No | We do not share |
The lenders we send your application to are nonaffiliated financial institutions we use to provide the financing you asked for. That sharing is an everyday business purpose and is not something you can limit while still applying for credit through us. Each lender sends you its own privacy notice.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your mobile phone number or text-message consent with third parties for their marketing.
How we protect it
We maintain a written information security program with physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal law. Your Social Security number, date of birth, driver's licence number and account numbers are encrypted where we store them. Our staff and automated assistants work from a masked copy of your application that shows only the last four digits of your Social Security number, and access to the full record is limited to the people who need it to submit your application and is recorded.
How long we keep it
We keep credit applications for 25 months after we notify you of our decision, as federal law requires, and longer where a completed sale requires it. After that we dispose of the records securely.
Your choices
You can ask us for a paper copy of this notice, ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to stop marketing to you. Call (601) 516-7255 or email info@dykesmotors.com. If you ask us to delete your application before a lender decision, we will do so except where the law requires us to retain it.
