Hazlehurst is the Copiah County seat on I-55, south of Jackson on the way to McComb. Copiah County is cattle pasture, pine plantation and vegetable ground, with a lot of owners who live in Jackson and keep their acreage out here on weekends. Copiah County owners often live in the Jackson area and work their land on weekends, so they favor machines that are easy to run and easy to trailer back and forth.
