The MT242HE is the top of the MT2E line — a 42.5 HP four-cylinder diesel on the same easy hydrostatic transmission as the MT232HE. The extra power shows up at the PTO: 34.8 horses will pull a rotary cutter through August grass without bogging, which the smaller compacts can't promise. Same LL3003 loader pairing — 2,506 pounds of lift on a 66-inch bucket — and the same VT tires that work in the pasture and across the yard. This is the tractor for the place that's a little too big for a 25-horse machine: 20 to 50 acres, food plots, longer driveways, heavier bush-hogging. You get near-MT3 capability while staying on the compact frame.
